FRESH FOOD-PRINTS

SUPPORT LOCAL FARMS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

People leave "food-prints" due to greenhouse gas emissions from the mass production of food, certain types of meat products, and transportation. These green house gases create a shield preventing the reflection of light that traps heat inside the earth's atmosphere. This increases the temperature of the world which affects multiple aspects of life on earth. It makes water levels rise, destroys habitats of animals, and causes unpredictable changes in weather. But most importantly, it affects the growth of produce which is necessary for everyday life of humans, which is what this project is focused on. With these effects on weather and growth of plants, it is hard to keep up with the demand for food. This issue is slowly intensifying which calls for the dire need to reverse its effects before it destroys our way of life.

We can tackle these issues by doing our part in protecting the environment. It is possible to make people change where they buy their food from and become conscious consumers.
